Convocation Committee

Superintendent Jessica Williams and the Colleton County School District (CCSD) kicked off the new school year with its annual Convocation, a time for all 868 faculty and staff members to come together in celebration, inspiration, and preparation for the year ahead. Convocation serves as an opportunity to reflect on the district’s shared mission, celebrate successes, and reignite their commitment to student achievement across the district. This year’s event was filled with uplifting messages, community spirit, and special moments of recognition, as well as fun prize raffles for our hardworking educators.

Special appearances were made by CCSD Board Members and motivational speaker Clint Swindall, whose inspiring message set the tone for the year. The district recognized its Teachers of the Year, Rookie Teachers of the Year, reigning District Teacher of the Year, and Support Employees of the Year. The event also celebrated the announcement of the 2025–2026 District Teacher of the Year, Marion Kimotho; the 2025–2026 District Rookie Teacher of the Year, Angelee Beecher-Whyte; and the 2025–2026 District Support Employee of the Year, Beth Frank.
