The Colleton County School District is proud to announce the 2025–2026 District Teacher of the Year: Ms. Marion Kimotho, an outstanding educator at Colleton County High School. The announcement was made during the district’s annual convocation held on Friday, August 1, 2025.
Each spring, every school in the district selects one exemplary educator as its Teacher of the Year. These school-level honorees were recognized at the May 20, 2025, Colleton County School Board meeting. During that celebration, the Office of Human Resources also named the three district-level finalists.
Following a comprehensive selection process, the district’s Department of Human Resources, along with a committee of educational professionals, selected Ms. Marion Kimotho as the top educator for the 2025–2026 academic year.
The District Teacher of the Year serves as a spokesperson and ambassador for all Colleton County educators and will represent the district in the South Carolina Teacher of the Year program.
